PACES First residential football and outward bounds camp a huge success.

The first group of children attending our new unique football and outward bounds residential camp, visited Liddington PGL centre. The aim of the camp is to mix high quality football coaching, alongside the chance for children to gain new experiences through adventure activities.

Over the course of the 3 day camp, children got the chance to have 5 football sessions, including a guest coach experience from former professional and current Wales U21’s coach Paul Bodin. Paul shared his experiences with the children, from when he was a young player trying to make his way in the game to another time taking a penalty in front of 75,000 people at Wembley.

Children also had the chance to take part in 3 adventure activities with several overcoming their fear of heights on the giant swing and zip line.

The added experience of staying away from home in rooms with other children also represented a great experience for the children attending.

Managing Director of PACES Jamie Pitman was thrilled with how the camp went.

“This was our first step into residential camps, and the chance to link with a venue such as PGL really helped us and the children have a great time. The children on the course were able to combine their love of football, with the chance to gain invaluable life experiences in a child friendly environment.”

Stay tuned for our soon to be announced programme of residential trips in 2020.
