Why PACES

PACES link sport and education to provide every child, parent, teacher and coaching professional, with a love of sport. Our high quality, inspiring coaches offer a variety of spirting activities, centre on learning and development.

PACES History

PACES was established in 2017 by Jamie Pitman and Jim McGettrick. Two coaching professionals with over 30 years of experience in community sport, education and professional football, between them.

PACES Focus

PACES delivery is based environments where our coaches focus on enjoyment and learning. We are a business associate member of the Association for Physical Education (AfPE), evidencing our commitment to high quality delivery within the school sports environment. Our staff are trained to a minimum of Level 2 in the sporting activities they deliver.

PACES in Schools

Evidenced Based National Curriculum Delivery

PACES can help schools deliver key outcomes related to the Schools Sport Premium. PACES evidenced based delivery system, has proven extremely popular with teachers who have undertaken the programme, and we evidence all of our work so that each school’s senior management team is able to justify, and see the impact of our work within their school. Competitions

One of the key indicators of the School Sports Premium is giving children the chance to play competitive sport in school. We offer inter and intra school competitions to help accommodate this for schools. Our bespoke tournaments and festivals are inclusive and offer children who might not get the chance to take part outside of school hours the chance to represent their school.

Association for Physical Education (AfPE)

PACES are a proud business associate member of the Association for Physical Education (AfPE). Through the membership, AfPE aim to recognise high quality providers who support PE & School Sport professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.

After School Clubs

Our highly popular multi sports after school clubs allows each school to offer a variety of clubs to entice young children into trying sports within the school environment. Delivered by our highly qualified coaches the clubs will focus on maximum active time whilst offering the school a highly professional service.

School Sports Premium

PACES can help schools deliver the 5 key indicators of the School Sports Premium. Our expert coaches follow our professionally developed programme which will enhance sport within the school, upskill teachers and provide the school with evidence against the key indicators of the School Sports Premium.

PACES Football

PACES Play

PACES Play is our inclusive Football development programme which focuses on fun match based sessions. Our expert coaches will set outcomes and challenges within a game environment to ensure learning is based around the game of football. Tiny PACES

New for 2018-19 our unique Tiny PACES programme is for pre school children between the ages of 2-4. Tiny PACES is designed around football and fundamental movement skills, allowing children time to play and explore with a ball whilst engaging in fun games throughout the session.

Holiday Courses

Our successful football specific holiday courses allow players to come along and enjoy a whole day of football activities. From shooting games, to matches, Goalkeeping and making new friends, our holiday courses are sure to keep your football fanatic child engaged throughout each day.

PACES Goalkeeping

Our weekly goalkeeping sessions provide current club team goalkeepers the opportunity to develop different techniques with our expert goalkeeping coaches. Each session is designed to work on a specific technique in isolated and match based situations.

PACES Academy

Our PACES Football academy is for children at the selected ages who are showing potential in their clubs or within a PACES Play session. Our academies spend a longer amount of time training each week, and have focused learning days throughout the school holidays. We are also exploring opportunities to travel abroad with the academy in the near future.

PACES Multi Sports

Birthday Parties

Our bespoke parties are based around a sport or multi-sports of your choice. These can be delivered at a venue of your choosing or we can help find the perfect location. Contact us for more information.

Holiday Courses

Our inclusive Multisport holiday courses provide children with fun activities in multiple sports throughout each day. Children will take part in individual, group and team activities offering a variety of challenges. PACES keep drop off and pick up similar to school timings so that parents can continue to work around standard routines throughout the school holidays.

Creative Movement and Dance

PACES offer schools and holiday courses the chance to combine dance and creative movement into fun activity sessions. Moving into 2019 we will be introducing a PACES Mini Movers programme for 2-4 year olds.

Meet the Team

Jamie Pitman

Jamie has enjoyed coaching and playing in the professional game at all levels and ages through his career. After completing the last few years as a Lead Phase Coach in a professional academy and The FA as a 5-11 year old specialist coach.

Jim McGettrick

Jim is a sports coaching professional with a sports education degree. Having played football at a non league level and progressing onto working for The FA for ten years in various roles. Jim is a licensed FA level 3 coach and a licensed FA affiliate tutor.
